Veganism is no longer just a trend; it has become a established cultural, social, and economic movement in Brazil. Each year, the number of Brazilians changing their consumption habits grows, whether for health, sustainability, or ethical reasons.

According to a Datafolha survey (2024), 7% of the Brazilian population considers themselves vegan, representing approximately 14 million people. Furthermore, 74% of Brazilians say they want to reduce their meat consumption, demonstrating the strength of the movement among so-called flexitarians.

This behavior has been directly reflected in the market. In 2022, the plant-based food sector in Brazil generated R$821 million in revenue, compared to R$578 million in 2021. This represents robust growth of over 40%, with projections to surpass the R$1 billion mark in the coming years.
